This is the most current installation method. If you are not sure, you should probably stick to this method.
AjaXplorer package
on Sourceforge.net Next? Read the 4-steps install guide
and start using AjaXplorer!
RPM packages of AjaXplorer are available. They have been built and tested on Enterprise Linux 6 (RHEL / CentOS / Scientific Linux). They should work directly on Fedora, and should be straightforward to install or repackage on other RPM-based distributions.
The RPM is not updated to v4.0.4 yet, please use the ZIP package above for the moment. Anyone motivated in maintining the rpm please contact me!
Only the Testing repository is currently enabled. The Stable repository will be enabled when SELinux support and package signing have been completed (soon). Support for DEB packaging (Debian, Ubuntu) is also planned in the near future.
This packaging is currently kindly maintained by our friends from Argeo.
SRPMs are available here:
http://dl.ajaxplorer.info/repos/el6/ajaxplorer-sources
The spec file and additional files are maintained here:
https://ajaxplorer.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/ajaxplorer/trunk/dist/rpm/
sudo rpm -Uvh http://dl.ajaxplorer.info/repos/el6/ajaxplorer-testing/ajaxplorer-release-4-1.noarch.rpm
Or simply click on this link and install via GUI tools. This will install /etc/yum.repos.d/ajaxplorer.repo which configures the repository, allowing update management.
Then in order to deploy AjaXplorer itself:
sudo yum install ajaxplorer
Restart Apache:
sudo service httpd restart
Then open http://localhost/ajaxplorer
Enjoy!
Please note that for the time being, you must disable SELinux in order to run AjaXplorer (see http://docs.redhat.com/docs/en-US/Red_Ha[..]isabling_SELinux.html), and that the packages are not yet signed.
The CMS Bridges package is updated along with major ajaxplorer versions, plus when necessary to publish a new bridge for a given CMS version. Various CMS versions are provided in a unique packaging. For example, the last one contains both the Drupal 6.X and the Drupal 7.X module.
The version numbering is fairly simple. Based on the Major.Branch.Minor, all odd branches are considered stable (2.2, 2.4, 3.0.1, 3.0.2, etc.) and all even branches are considered development branches.
These packages are built every night at 20:30 Paris Time, from the SVN source.
